There will be a hospitality task, where, in your groups you will asked to to prepare a three course meal. you will work to a budget, the ingredients yourself and prepare a menu. this meal will be judged by presentation and taste.
In the drama/media task you create a 3min advert, create a storyboard and record it on video. the video is relavent to you or something that interests you. Location and actors are up to you
During the course young people help with the caring of young children and elderly people via work plecement. it not only helps the young and elderly people, it also allows the young person to understand their needs and prepares them for a career in care. this is an excellent oppurtunity so please see Fiona at Ayr college for more information on the course.
